Bash plates or sump guards are metal plates bolted under the engine to protect the crankcase, sump and sometimes the exhaust header on adventure and off-road bikes. Common on Himalayan, XPulse, KTM Adventure and scramblers. Legal note: A protective accessory that does not change RC particulars, so it is generally legal under Section 52. Ensure the plate does not reduce ground clearance drastically or trap heat. No RTO approval normally required. Read more
