Custom seats and seat covers change foam density, gel inserts and shape, or lower/raise seat height by 10-20 mm for comfort on long rides. Popular brands include Sahara Seats and Cloud 9. Legal note: Legal, since a seat cover or cushion change does not alter registered specifications under Section 52. The exception is an extended seat that changes seating capacity (for example turning a single-seat bike into a twin-seat), because seating capacity is listed on the RC and any change needs RTO endorsement.
